Service Operator

By accessing or using DataFormatHub (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of the Terms, you may not access the Service. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User", "you", or "your") and Roman Soubiran ("we", "us", "our", or "Operator"), operating as DataFormatHub.

DataFormatHub provides free and premium data format conversion tools accessible via the internet. Our services include:

• Client-side data conversion tools (JSON, YAML, CSV, XML, SQL, etc.)
• Data visualization and exploration tools
• AI-powered tools that may connect to third-party APIs using your own API keys
• Educational blog content and tutorials
• Newsletter subscription service
• Display of third-party advertisements

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time without prior notice.

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service for personal and commercial purposes. You agree NOT to:

• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the Service beyond what is publicly available
• Use automated scripts, bots, or scrapers to access or overload the Service
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the Service
• Reproduce, duplicate, copy, sell, resell, or exploit any portion of the Service without express written permission
• Use the Service to transmit malware, viruses, or other malicious code

Your privacy is fundamental to our Service:

• Standard conversion tools process data entirely client-side in your browser. Your data never leaves your device.
• AI-powered tools may send data to third-party AI providers (Google Gemini, OpenAI, etc.) using API keys that YOU provide. We do not store or have access to these API keys or the data transmitted.
• We collect minimal analytics data to improve the Service. See our Privacy Policy for details.
• Newsletter subscriptions are processed through Resend. Your email is stored only for newsletter delivery purposes.

By using AI-powered tools with your own API keys, you acknowledge that data is transmitted to third-party services according to their respective privacy policies.

Regarding intellectual property:

• The DataFormatHub name, logo, trademarks, and branding are our exclusive intellectual property.
• The Service, including its original content, features, and functionality, is owned by us and protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
• Content you create, convert, or process using our tools belongs entirely to you. We make no claim to your data.
• Any feedback, suggestions, or ideas you provide may be used by us without obligation to you.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• Implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement
• Warranties that the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free
• Warranties that results obtained from the Service will be accurate or reliable
• Warranties that defects in the Service will be corrected

You acknowledge that you use the Service at your sole risk. Always verify converted data before using it in production systems. You are solely responsible for validating the accuracy of any output.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW:

• We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses.
• Our total liability for any claims arising from the Service shall not exceed the amount paid by you (if any) for the Service in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
• We are not liable for any third-party services, including AI providers, accessed through or in connection with the Service.
• We are not responsible for any data loss resulting from your use of the Service. You are responsible for maintaining backups of your data.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitation of liability for consequential damages. In such jurisdictions, our liability shall be limited to the greatest extent permitted by law.

As a user, you are responsible for:

• Ensuring your use of the Service complies with all applicable laws and regulations
• Maintaining the security and confidentiality of any API keys you use with our AI tools
• Backing up your original data before performing any conversions
• Verifying the accuracy and integrity of converted data before use
• Ensuring your browser and device are secure and up-to-date
• Any consequences resulting from your use of AI-powered tools with your own API keys

The Service may contain links to or integrate with third-party services:

• AI tools may connect to Google Gemini, OpenAI, or other AI providers using your API keys
• Analytics services (Google Analytics, Vercel Analytics) collect anonymized usage data
• Newsletter services (Resend) process email subscriptions
• Parameters of the Google AdSense program govern the display of advertisements
• External documentation and educational resources may be linked

We are not responsible for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party services. Your use of such services is governed by their respective terms and policies.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to the website with an updated "Last modified" date. Your continued use of the Service after any modifications constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically. For material changes, we may provide additional notice through the Service or via email to newsletter subscribers.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of France, without regard to conflict of law principles.

• Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of France.
• Before initiating legal proceedings, you agree to attempt to resolve disputes through good-faith negotiation.
• For EU consumers: You may also use the European Commission Online Dispute Resolution platform at https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr/
• Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer under applicable law.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service and supersede all prior agreements, representations, and understandings.

We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including:

• Breach of these Terms
• Conduct that we determine to be harmful to the Service or other users
• Request by law enforcement or government agencies
• Discontinuance or material modification of the Service

Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. All provisions of these Terms which by their nature should survive termination shall remain in effect.
